Welcome

Author Mia KingBREAKING NEWS! My second novel, SWEET LIFE, is the first book listed in CNN’s “Winter Staycation” reading list!

Welcome to my website and blog! I am so excited to see what 2010 holds for all of us. I am finishing up book four, a book I’ve kept under wraps and am very excited about! It’s hard to sometimes keep my mind on it because I am already thinking about books five, six, and seven (and not necessarily in that order) but that’s when I have to push myself to be more disciplined and finish what I’ve started, otherwise you won’t have a new book to read in 2010-2011!

Table Manners King MalleryI’ve had a great time visiting booksellers and meeting readers to talk about my current novel, TABLE MANNERS, a selection of the Doubleday, Literary Guild, Rhapsody, and Book of the Month Club book clubs. It’s a novel with generous servings of food and friendship, with wonderful recipes from prominent chefs and foodies from Seattle to Paris. You’ll meet the ever-resourceful lifestyle maven Deidre McIntosh, who has a knack for getting back up when life knocks her down. Visit my book page to read an excerpt and I hope it’ll whet your appetite for more. Be ready for a few surprises, too. Things—and people—are not always as they seem!

If you’re visiting my website for the first time, I invite you to take a look around. You’ll find recipes from my books plus a few extras, excerpts, reading guides and a whole lot more. If you love food, you can also find me on Foodbuzz (foodbuzz.com/foodies/us/hawaii/profile/fbmama) or come join me in the Friendship Bread Kitchen (facebook.com/fbkitchen).

Affectionately,
