Whether you’ve just thought of a book idea or already have a stack of rejection letters, now is the time to find a literary agent and catapult your book to publishing success! Published author Darien Gee shows you how to create a winning query package or book proposal in this information-packed class. She’ll coach you on everything you need to know from how to target the right literary agents to developing a surefire submission strategy. Darien will tell you how she did it, so you can do it too! If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing your book on the shelves, you won’t want to miss this class.

Instructor:

Published author Darien Gee writes contemporary women’s fiction under the pen name Mia King. Her debut novel, GOOD THINGS (Berkley/Penguin), was a national bestseller. Her second novel, SWEET LIFE (Berkley/Penguin), was a Doubleday, Literary Guild, and Book of the Month Club featured pick. Her third novel, TABLE MANNERS (Berkley/Penguin) will be published in August 2009. Darien has served on the boards of ZYZZYVA, a prominent literary journal, and the Friends and Foundation of the San Francisco Public Library. She is represented by a prominent New York literary agency.

Fee

$75; additional one-on-one coaching sessions are available in half-hour slots immediately following the workshop for $50 (space is limited; only two slots available).
