I bought your book Sweet Life on Saturday and finished it on Sunday. So good! I’m really looking forward to reading Table Manners.

I so wish you were doing a workshop on Oahu! I realize, I’m getting here just a bit late, as you were at the festival here at the end of May. So sad I didn’t make it earlier. Enjoyed your time out section. We forget how much these little ones pick up. When our son was about 2, we were having a typical day of his driving his sisters nuts (there are 10 years between them). After numerous time outs and distractions, I gave up. I said the old “Do you want a spanking?” He grinned at me and dropped his pants. 20 plus years later I still don’t know what to do with him.

What do I do in a slump? Put on some great
music,get a piece or half a dozen of chocolate,
find the most compelling book to read,put the
air conditioner down a little & get in my
very comfortable recliner. If necessary, I
put ear plugs in so nothing will take me away
from my created world. Does it help? Yes,
because it takes me away to a different world
where I can be an observer for a time.
