- For best results, use a glass or china pot; metal is not recommended.
- Warm the teapot by filling it with hot water and letting it stand for a few minutes, then drain.
- Fill the teapot with fresh cold water (this helps to bring out the full character of the tea).
- Bring the water to a rolling boil. Avoid boiling too long or the tea will taste flat.
- Use 1 teaspoon loose tea for every 5-ounce cup. Place the loose tea in an infuser into the warmed pot. Pour in the boiling water and cover the pot. Let steep 3 to 5 minutes. Careful not to let it brew to long, which will result in a bitter-tasting tea.
